Description: Lincoln, NE - Omaha Man Sentenced to 7 Years for Distribution of Child Pornography

Diego Vigil, 36, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced in federal court for receiving and distributing child pornography. The Honorable Robert F. Rossiter, Jr., sentenced Vigil to 7 years imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system. After his release from prison, Vigil will begin a ten-year term of supervised release and will be required to register as a sex offender.

A search warrant was executed on Vigil’s home on March 3, 2017. He admitted to downloading images of child pornography. More than 200 videos and 4,000 images involving the sexual exploitation of minors were recovered. The images involved an age range of infant and toddler to approximately 13 years.
