Charles Baldwin Wilson, age 36, of Charleston, was sentenced in federal court in Charleston for Possession of Firearms by a Convicted Felon, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, in violation of Title 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) and Title 21 U.S.C. § 841(b)(1)(D). Evidence presented at the change of plea and sentencing hearing established that on November 16, 2015, Charleston County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Wilson’s residence. Law enforcement found multiple rooms in the home dedicated to a sophisticated marijuana growing operation, along with seven firearms. Wilson had a prior conviction for Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana from 2006, and was prohibited from possessing a firearm.
