Elaine Brown, age 72, sued Oakland Councilwoman Desley Brooks on an assault and battery theory and elder abuse claiming that she was injured and/or damaged as a result of being punched and pushed by Brooks during a confrontation at a restaurant in 2015.
Brown, a former Black Panther, and Brooks got into an argument over a housing issue.
